Express Entry is the foremost Canadian immigration program that is used by foreign nationals, both inland, and outland, to gain a Permanent Residence status in Canada. The program was started in January of 2015, and as the name suggests it is meant to expedite the process of issuing Permanent Residence to certain economic class applicants. When performing at optimum levels, the program has the potential of processing a complete application in under 6 months’ time. The ability of this program to identify applicants who are most likely to integrate well into The Canadian Job market makes it stand out and work at express speeds. Canada has used this program very effectively in the past to accommodate the job market needs at any given time and this was more evident than ever when during the Covid-19 pandemic, IRCC made various adjustments in the draws to manage the immigration levels in Canada.
